The coolest thing you’ll ever see – FULLY FLARED
Wednesday, July 28th, 2010Just revisited this clip. This is a video for an Unkle track called Heaven. Great track… but even more spectacular are the visuals, which are taken from a skate video called Fully Flared, which is directed by Spike Jonze (of course). Just crank up the volume, lean back, watch and dream away. Makes me wish I still skated… but alas…I got all the equipment and no skills left. One of my colleagues revisited the old passion on his stag party… and broke his arm. Getting old.

Summer greetings!
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010Just came back from a hot, hot Berlin with people fleeing the city during daytime going to the lakes but returning in the evenings again for dinner & drinks. Great way of living and so much creativity going on in a city that still constantly transforms.
This video was created by my friend Silvia & Nando from the Spanish/Berlin based brand PotiPoti – visit their shop in Rosenthaler Straße 66 if you come by Berlin. Last week they won the first German fashion film award with this lovely video – enjoy and have a great summer!

Chimes & Bells at Copenhagen X Session
Friday, June 18th, 2010Write the Future
Thursday, May 20th, 2010From Viberen to Rooney. New Nike spot. Pretty cool. Not quite as cool as the older one with the Eagles of Death Metal soundtrack – good storytelling though – maybe with some better music. Cheers for the heads up Herm.

Copenhagen X Sessions – by Sony Ericsson
Wednesday, May 12th, 2010MEC in Copenhagen has developed a concept for Sony Ericsson we call The Copenhagen X Sessions. X because it is for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia platform, the X10 model for starters, and Sessions because we gathered the cream of the Danish upcoming music scene and recorded a string of music and video sessions with them. The concept is ultra high quality in artist, performance, music and video – totally free for download. A new type of concept where the company – in this case Sony Ericsson acts like a record company except… we made it free. It benefits the musicians – who are paid and a platform and free recording/video and the brand Sony Ericsson – because they are associated with music and provides content to their target audience and phones, which should generate sales, buzz and loyalty. Everybody wins. Quite simply. The first sessions to be released are from the excellent danish bands – I Got you on Tape, Giana Factory and Sleep Party People.
The sessions are recorded and produced at Black Tornado Studios in Copenhagen, by Mikkel Max and Ebbe Frey – both previously in Epo555 and all video art was done by Michael Voight from Good Boy Creative. Here is a behind the scenes clip from yesterday, when one of the last sessions were recorded with the band Cody – indie, folky, post rocky country – excellent stuff. I apologize for the non HD quality, but it was recorded with the X10:-)
Check out the website www.xsessions.dk – it rocks. Enjoy.

Deftones use Twitter and facebook to promote video and itunes…interestingly
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010…is that a word… Anyways what they did was tweet (to their followers) that the new video was now available for free download.. click here - which refers you to facebook where you access a download page. Now in order to get the free download (HD quality) you need to retweet the original message. Now that generates wom, while selling singles and letting people see the video – which is cool.

Coke Zero – Happy Kingdom
Friday, January 22nd, 2010Another reason why the music industry is going to shit
Thursday, December 10th, 2009Doesn’t sound like the musicians are exactly behind them. So maybe if you milk the talent for 50 years and and then turn around and whine when people get wize to the scam isn’t a sustainable approach. Then again it did work for 50 years
The reason why the system hates Dick Dale…
You tell ‘em Dick.
