This is hillarious and actually rather smart. It a small digital utility from Old Navy. It reads your ass and recommends what type of jeans you should go for – down to the label of Old Navy of course. Very cool. My booty sign is Posteriourious, which means jeans with stretch for that ass. Thanks to Martin from Plant for the heads up. Try it out.
Google ups the stakes, combining their core business of search, with augmented reality, scanning/photo usability and much more to come, it would seem. It looks very cool. It’s like the Layars app meets Google. It is launched as an app for Android phones. Check it out.
Just read on business.dk that Playboy will launch a 3D version of the magazine for the June issue.
This makes perfect sense. Nothing needs the 3D experience more than porn or whatever you call Playboy. The first 3D model will be Hope Dworaczyk. This is she:
I wonder how they will make the 3D experience come alive – with augmented reality on the mobile phone or with the funny glasses or maybe the old plastic holograms – all solid solutions. I kinda hope they go for the plastic. I just found an old magazine from 2001 with one of those glued in with Helena Christensen – I had to keep that for sentimental purposes:-) Does anyone know how they’ll doit?
Just saw this CNN special. Very interesting. Cameras recognize you gender and age and “relevant” ads are shown to you. Very Big Brother and Minority Report.
Thanks to Kristoffer Baek (my brother) for drawing this to my attention.
Another very interesting thing is Near Field Communication. This is where a terminal recognizes you mobile phone “signature”. So it potentially knows exactly who you are. This means it could call you your name, you can use it for payments, it can stream your Youtube favorites, show you ads directly aimed to you… situational, scary, invasive and extremely potent.
For the first time ever I got QR codes (Quick Response codes) working. How did this happen. Well Sony Ericsson has done a very cool integration in the Soundvenue magazine for their X10 phone. They present additional videos and content from the featured articles directly on your mobile phone – you get this by scanning the qr code. And it actually works. I tried it so many times to no avail. BUT NOW IT WORKS. Could 2010 be the year this breaks. Hurray. I used the I-nigma app from the Android store.
So it was the Apple Table or iPad as they chose to call it. I must admit it looks pretty cool. Its supposed to be the holder of apps, videos, photos and books. I predict that it will at least revolutionize the book market 500%. Fuck Kindle and all the other crappy digi-book readers. This is the ticket. Its supposed to be excellent for surfing the net and reading and writing emails also… We’ll see. I have few reservations or doubts when it comes to Apple living up to expectations these days. Good to see Steve back in good health too.
Here is an old Utility from Axe in asia. I think it is super cool. Actually quite well thought out. It’s from 2008. Can’t believe I haven’t seen this before. Very AXE.
I know I already commented on Bo Bechs cookingschool when the first version ment for mobile phones came out. I love it and I use it quite often. My other half was making porkroast for his christmas party with the boys and he used Bo’s video. HOWEVER, now the i-phone app is here and it’s as yummy as the chocolate cake! The screensize oviously making this video experiense amazing. Go to your app store and search for “kokkeskole”.
Happy 80th.
Bond: That looks like a woman's gun.
Largo: Do you know a lot about guns, Mr. Bond?
Bond: No, but I know a little about women. [KristianBaek]
