iPad revealed by Mr. Jobs

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

So it was the Apple Table or iPad as they chose to call it. I must admit it looks pretty cool. Its supposed to be the holder of apps, videos, photos and books. I predict that it will at least revolutionize the book market 500%. Fuck Kindle and all the other crappy digi-book readers. This is the ticket. Its supposed to be excellent for surfing the net and reading and writing emails also… We’ll see. I have few reservations or doubts when it comes to Apple living up to expectations these days. Good to see Steve back in good health too.

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Sony Ericsson, Nokia and iPhone could learn a thing or two about the Pomegranate. There is a quite funny debate on Facebook, where people actually discuss whether its real. Hmm. Wonder what its for.

Nokia… now Laptop

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Hey just saw this on mashable.com. Nokia has entered the laptop market with a product which has focus on…connectivity. You can go online anywhere like with your mobile and you can access their music store (free I assume) like their phones, that “Comes with Music”. I wonder if they will sell with some sort of subscription services. Anyways very interesting.

As for the style it looks like they have taken substantial cues from the Macbooks. Looks decent.

Mobile layers

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

Pernille F. from DeepBlue showed this on her Facebook blog. Pretty cool stuff. This is a Dutch app. for your cell phone called Layar, which will recognize buildings and sites and overlay information about the surroundings in real time. Lots of commercial possibilities. Store finder, appartment locator, vacant hotels, rates. And the list goes on.

…think what your mobile can do for you…

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Chikara Takano from Tokyo has hardly carried cash with him for the last three years. He doesn’t need them as ha can pay for most things with his mobile phone.  This Danish TV-program takes a look at how the mobile phone has affected people’s way of living in the digital capital of the world and addresses the issue of culture and modern technology. Why are they so far ahead in Japan, when the technology is available globally?  And will we ever have the same mobile behavior in Denmark as Chikara Takano?

Branded Utility – it’s coming to gitya

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Just finished the first of two seminars we are hosting on Branded Utility. It went very well. The audience seemed to be very interested in the phenomenon which is certainly good news for us marketers. It is my plan to publish a book on this topic this year – it will have a slightly grander scope and will be called “Branding 2.0″  Basically it is about who you Brand in the new media context, how you relate to and utilize user generated innovation and content, branded communities and utilities, social media as well as the more classic branding disciplines. It is in the making and it should be quite interesting. The first edition will be in Danish. But who knows maybe well do an English version also (or Chinese). Iben Larsen thought it would be funny gimmick too use Google Translate – a utility – to translate a book on branded utilities – and then live with the flaws of course. Then we could say translated into more than 20 languages.

Insidentally this blogpost looks like this in chinese – not bad at all:
