Mel Gibson rant – now with animation

Friday, July 16th, 2010

I know this is not comms related or anything. But it says a thing or two about the power of the Internet. The last part of this rant was released earlier today and already they put an animation to it. And of course it’s hilarious… and sad.

Adidas – a new hope

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Combining 3 of my favorite things – Star Wars, Football and Rock’n'Roll this would seem to be a perfect match for me. Somehow it doesn’t really take off. Too bad – a lot of wasted potential, with such great content. Emagine shooting a commercial in Mos Eisley.

RoboCare and the Danish Unions

Friday, June 4th, 2010

FOA launched this campaign, which I suspect is developed by Wasabi (Advance).

The films were seedet on the website, http://www.rigtigemennesker.dk/robocare/index.php,  as advertisements for the fake company RoboCare, before they let the cat out of the bag and FOA was revealed as the advertiser: www.rigtigemennesker.dk . Not a bad effort – not really excellent either. Virals are getting harder to produce, because we are getting very good at recognizing them. And I certainly don’t understand why they don’t allow sharing the video on blogs and youtube, facebook etc. That’s just plain stupid. They don’t get any social juice.

Write the Future

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

From Viberen to Rooney. New Nike spot. Pretty cool. Not quite as cool as the older one with the Eagles of Death Metal soundtrack – good storytelling though – maybe with some better music.  Cheers for the heads up Herm.

Copenhipster – who’s behind?

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Yesterday some friends mentioned this blog  Copenhipster – I don’t know what to think… is it too much to make fun of certain artists, designers and others who actually add to cultural life or is it fun and okay? Mainly because it’s not Vibskov and the rest of the crowd they are making fun of, instead who is really being ridiculed are all the laggards including me who follow a few in terms of fashion, likes etc. but still feel oh so individualistic?

And why is the person/people behind staying anonymous?  It’s pretty clear when you read the blog that it is someone who knows the socalled hipster crowd, someone who go to the same clubs, bars, places, If not, this person must have serious stalker issues… my friends were split too: Some of them thought of the blog as an expression of an envious outsider. Others felt amused eventhough they or some of their friends were also exposed.

One thought: What if it is actually a commercial company who is behind just proving how they are able to tap into a certain crowd, then they’re goooooooood – they certainly managed to become the talk of the town at the dinner yesterday!

Congrats Obama!

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

So Obama’s Health Care reform went through. It will be really interesting to see the actual implications on the reform which has been kind of blurred even to the most faithful Democrats. Anyway, this video explains the implications of not acting and is kind of cool in its simplicity.

Deftones use Twitter and facebook to promote video and itunes…interestingly

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

…is that a word… Anyways what they did was tweet (to their followers) that the new video was now available for free download.. click here -  which refers you to facebook where you access a download page. Now in order to get the free download (HD quality) you need to retweet the original message. Now that generates wom, while selling singles and letting people see the video – which is cool.
